Kilt shoes or kilt suit shoes were originally used or called as brgues and sandals worn by highland wearers. They were adopted as buckled shoes in the 17th and 18th century. Nowadays ghillie brogues are an essential part of any Scottish outfit. In colors black and brown colors become the standard kilt shoes colors. In general, kilt brogues have a shiny finish and long laces that are tied up the wearer's calves. 

Kilt Outfit offers a variety of black and brown shoes. We also produced shoes with tartan to give them a distinctly Scottish touch. Shoes havelaces which tie across and should be twisted four times at the ankle level then taken behind with one twist before tying at the front. Lace remains just above the ankle and does not extend up the leg. Dancers acn use these at parties for dancing and get through a lot of hours of dancing with them. With casual outfits, they can be worn as day wears.
