Dress Sporran

These kilt sporrans are made with fur and sometimes leather fabric. A typical dress sporran is made with black leather with a layer of fur on this. They also have decorative tassels on them. Tassels may be made of fur if the sporran is fur sporran. Tassels are sometimes made of leather strips. These tassels are covered by metal balls in both cases.

Sporran comes from the Gaelic language name ‘purse’ or ‘pouch’. This pouch performs the same function as the pocket in any other mens dresses. Kilt wearers use kilt sporrans to keep their necessary things like keys and wallets in them. They are oval-shaped and have a metal cantle on their top.
